Day of Service
On Saturday, August 21st, Millikin University will conduct a community-wide "Day of Service", when dozens of groups of incoming freshmen will team up with churches and organizations throughout Decatur, conducting thousands of hours of service projects.
Two groups of student volunteers will be dropped off at First Lutheran, one at 10:15 AM, for two hours, and the other at 1:15 PM, also for two hours, for food, friendly conversation, and some sprucing up projects at church. There will be 16 -18 students in each group.
You are invited to participate in these events. There will be a fellowship luncheon for all involved, and it will take place from 12:15 until 1:15. The 1:15 group will be invited to the lunch, as well.
Full participation from 10:15 until 3:15 is not required. Give a half hour, an hour or two!
